Who does the GDPR affect?
The GDPR not only applies to organisations located within the EU but it will also apply to organisations located outside of the EU if they offer goods or services to, or monitor the behaviour of, EU data subjects. It applies to all companies processing and holding the personal data of data subjects residing in the European Union, regardless of the company’s location.

What constitutes personal data?
Any information related to a natural person or ‘Data Subject’, that can be used to directly or indirectly identify the person. It can be anything from a name, a photo, an email address, bank details, posts on social networking websites, medical information, or a computer IP address.

What data will Surepass Rider Training retain?

Surepass Rider Training will collect and keep the following data that has been directly provided by the data subject

  1. Name

  2. Gender

  3. Date of birth

  4. Postal address

  5. CBT (DL196) Certificate details

  6. Driver licence number

  7. Theory test pass certificate number

  8. Telephone number

  9. Email address

  10. Dates of training 

  11. Marketing preferences

What rights do I have in relation to the personal data held by Surepass Rider Training?

  1. You have the right to request Surepass RIder Training disclose to you all personal data retained.

  2. You have the right to be "forgotten" by Surepass Rider Training meaning all personal data covered within the GDPR be securely deleted.

  3. You have the right to amend any personal data held.

  4. You have the right to opt in/out of any future marketing campaigns

Data breaches.

  1. Surepass Rider Training operates a CRM system utilising the facilities of a GDPR compliant, third-party systems provider.

  2. Should a data breach occur, Surepass will notify you within 72 hours (or as soon as reasonably practicable) what data has been subject to the breach.

  3. In following the terms and conditions of the GDPR, Surepass Rider Training has no liability, in whole or in part, for any loss of data resulting from malpractice of the data subject or a third party.

Data sharing 

Surepass Rider Training reserves the right to share data with third party organisations for the purpose of completing the data subject's booking requirement. Surepass Rider Training will not sell or share customer data for the purposes of marketing or research.
