What Type of Training do You Need?
Compulsory Basic Training (CBT) 16yrs+
The CBT course is a one day course that you must take by law before you can ride on the road. It can be taken by anyone aged 16 years or over. To complete a CBT course you must have either a provisional or full driving licence with category A (motorcycle entitlement), category P or AM (moped entitlement) on it.
Full Licence Courses
This course is completed on a 120-125cc machine and leads to an A1 Light Motorcycle Licence. We have a varied fleet of the latest motorcycles. You are restricted to riding a machine no greater than 125cc with a maximum power of 14.6bhp but you do not need to display L plates and you can carry a passenger.
Full Licence Courses (A2) 19yrs+
This course is completed on a machine of at least 395cc and leads to an A2 Standard Motorcycle Licence. We have a fleet of the latest, digitally restricted motorcycles. When you have passed the A2 licence you can ride a machine that produces no more than 35Kw or 47bhp.
Full Licence Courses
This course is completed on a bike with a minimum capacity of 595cc. We have a fleet of the latest motorcycles to enable you to gain a full licence. You must be 24 years old or above to complete this course, (unless you have held your A2 licence for a minimum of 2 years using your Progressive Access option). On successfully completing your Direct Access practical test with the DVSA you will obtain a full motorcycle licence.
